Hi, I'm a 24 year old male. 4 days ago I experienced a lot of pain in the mid to lower abdominal regions. It was a gradual onset, but lasted for a solid 3 hours, much longer than any other times I've felt pain in my abdomen (which is a pretty rare occurrence). The pain almost forced me to visit the ER, but subsided at the last minute so I assumed all was fine. Since then I've experienced discomfort mostly in the upper abdominal region, just under the sternum, and a little on the left side. It feels like there's some kind of pressure or bloating as if there's a large gas build-up, but burping doesn't seem to help much (although I haven't been burping much). It's making me feel a little nauseous and I've also lost some appetite because of it. If I poke around with my fingers right below my ribs sometimes will make it feel worse. There doesn't seem to be any external symptoms. I'm a very thin guy, and I don't notice any bulging or distention. Should I go to the doctor to check it out, or wait and see if it gets any better/worse?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
