I'm a 38 year old male. All my life I could recall memories of eating something (usually pasta, beef, fried foods, or fatty foods) that made me run to the bathroom. My friends would also complain of these events so it became a conversation piece... Hey remember when you got sick at? Etc. I self diagnosis myself with IBS. I have most symptons described. Especially if I'm traveling or in a setting that there is no bathroom available, I would start feeling anxiety and eventually this would lead to a Diarrhea event. About a month ago, I was stupid enought to scarf down 2 spicey Thai burritos from a local mexican restaurant. That night I was very ill. Funny I had spinach that night as well. Every since then I just haven't felt right. I will have a few days of no issues then a few days of Diarrhea including some mucus. I fear that I might have a bacteria infection that I can't get rid of. I inherited a fear of doctors espcially any exams that involve lower region probing. I started that enzemyes for IBs to help in digestion that seems to help. But still have diarrhea on occasion and mucus. I also started taking Carbon tablets which help but now my stools appear greenish. Not sure if it is from the carbon. Mentally my stomach is always on my mind which probably attribute to some of my symptoms. I have no blood stools, or pain (unless gas pains but IBS pills solved that and that was prior to a diarrhea event). I have traveled much of the world - Russia Eastern Europe etc, but it has been 3 years since my last trip.

  • I had a stool test done and no bacteria showed up and I have diarrhea all the time.. I dont have any stomach pains... You can try taking calcium tablets which help some or immodium... other than that im trying to find out a way to cure it.
