Is it possible that colon inflammation can be caused by the colonoscopy prep which is dreadful to take and excruciating to go through. I have never had any problems with bowel movements and have been a vegetarian for 40 years. I am supposed to get a sigmoidoscopy next, having gone through a colonoscopy and a virtual colonoscopy (done as a screening only - not for any pain or symptoms). I am contemplating cancelling this last procedure as I am filled with disdain over the prep. I feel this is done at a doctor's desire to get experience and be safe against lawsuits occurring. I went from feeling great to being a nervous wreck.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
