High sugar, no weight gain.

I'm a twenty-year-old female with abdominal pain, chronic nausea and diarrhea, and frequent vomiting. It is possible I have Chron's Disease.

The strange thing is, the one and only thing I can eat that WILL NOT upset my stomach is sugar. I also will not gain weight when I eat it, no matter how much. For instance, I ate an average day's worth of food, and on top of it, 10 servings of candy corn. No weight gain. And I have done it a few times since, with the same results.

Any ideas why? I can't find anything.

  • You should ask for a fecal test as well as vitamins to see if you could have malabsorbtion. Malabsorbtion is quite common in crohns if the small intestine is involved. Kiera

  • That was my best guess. And the strangest thing happened, like, 5 minutes ago... I leaked. Like a urine leak, but when I cleaned off my panties, its was slightly purplish-pink. ???

  • Guess you need to bring a urine sample as well. Could be blood. Kiera

  • Also get checked for yeast (not vaginal but in urine or blood). Perhaps pernicious anemia.
