Help! Parents of toddlers!

Happy Mother's Day! I am celebrating with my third "Mystery Virus" in three months.

Symptoms always similar: sudden onset, 102-degree fever, wracking chills and body aches, dizziness and that spinning feeling in my head, weakness, exhaustion followed by either vomiting, diaherria, or both...followed by a bonus three to four days of extreme nausea, distressing gas, bloating and acid reflux.

HELP! I knew I'd get lots of bugs from my little one, but I just need to know this is "normal" and not some condition that keeps resurfacing. Is it possible that I just keep getting different bugs that do the same awful things to me?

Suffice it to say that being a working mom, being sick is ******n everyone!:D

  • Parent of a toddler here: yes, I have caught some crazy stuff from her including weird stomach bugs similar to that. However, I will say that I've never had any virus "resurface" so quickly like that. This leads me to wonder whether maybe it's a bacterial infection that could require antibiotics. Maybe it's nothing to worry about, but why not check in with a doctor to put your mind at ease?
