Help! Feels like I've swallowed a balloon and can't get it out!

I am at my wits end here and so discouraged because nothing I do seems to fix this problem. I am super uncomfortable every time after I eat for a good 2-3 hours. It feels like I have a bunch of balloons in my stomach and I have to forcefully push them out (i.e. burping). But even with the burps I don't get any relief. No doctor seems to be able to figure out what's wrong with me. I have been diagnosed with gerd, gastritis, esophagitis, dyspepsia, etc. Tried proposed but it doesn't do anything. I have experimented with eating all different kinds of foods and it doesn't seem to make a difference. I definitely think stress is an issue as I am pretty stressed, but could that be the only cause of this? It feels like there has to be something physically wrong with me! Please help!

  • I had this exact same thing. I hope you are better now. I remember that this is very painful and it feels like wind stuck. Like when you swollow boiled potatoes and get that lump feeling in your throat and stomach, but it lasts for a couple of hours and you just can't get comfortable, I felt like I wanted to pass out. I was told it was a symptom of a panic attack. When I stopped and thought about that I realised that I had a lot of stress in my life and I wasn't coping. I had to readdress my priorities and learn to take time to relax and look after myself. This has helped me.

  • I have this sensation as well certain foods make it worse and it increases when I have more gas bubbles stuck in my gut causing pressure and tightness. Thanks for sharing :)

When I try to burp I can only do tiny burps that are super quiet or it feels like I can't burp even when I try. Also no gas comes out usually but when the bubbles start making popping sounds I sometimes will finally ***t but it's a brief ***t and my stomach seems to quickly fill up with more air bubbles. Also sometimes when I burp I get acid reflux.
