I am hoping someone out there can "shed some light" on my symptoms. When I am eating (it is always at the beginning of a meal) I start to feel intense pain in the middle of my chest then I start with the hiccups then my body starts to produce heavy mucus which I have to "throw-up". I do not "throw-up" what I ate--just the heavy mucus. The attacks have become more frequent and more intense. I try to stay calm during these "attacks" but it is painfull and upsetting. There is no correlation with certain foods. I had the barium swallow test---this gave no answers. Has anyone else had similar episodes? If so what is this?Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
