My child, who turned one last week, has been vomiting on and off for the past 7 days. It started on Sunday morning last week and has continued through the week. It is only one time per episodes and her episodes range from 12 to 24 to 36 hours or more apart. Neither myself, husband or our 2 year old daughter have any of her symptoms. The kids are not in daycare - they stay home with me.
She is also very small for her age. She weighs around 17 lbs. Her sister was 19 lbs at the same length at this age.
Any idea what this could be? Sometimes she gets the 'belly bloat' but she is passing stools just fine. The pedi. is working on it- but the waiting is killing me. :( Her bloodwork has all checked out normal so far. They have run a gamut of tests and we're waiting on the celiac sprue panel before they do more of them.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with vomiting regularly at such long intervals? She acts just like she normally does- spunky and happy. The vomiting doesn't bother her any and she doesn't act nauseated. Some of the vomit is digested, some isn't She always wants to eat right after. It seems to me as if she is filling her stomach and then can't pass it on so it comes back up?
