I'm 28 years old and I have had this pain at the breast bone and upper stomach (under ribs) for the past 3 days. I have took several heartburn meds. and nothing helps. What do you think it could be.

  • you can try taking over the counter meds or get something stronger from the doc like aciphex or can't remember the other one sorry they are definitely more expensive but help a lot more.

  • Try a teaspoon of bicarb of soda disolved in water, you may have air trapped for some reason or, as mentioned, reflux. My quad friend often complains of this discomfort to the point of wanting to throw up, but the bicarb works wonders.searchingsam

  • Bicarb is bicarbonate of soda. In the old days it was used for heaps of things and is starting to make its way back into peoples lives who are allergic, environmentally friendly or just realise that expensive meds and cleaners aren't really tht crash hot.It was used as a toothpaste, heartburn releaver, lowers acidity in the blood, and yes it is even a good stove cleaner and grease remover!!! Look it up on the web and find out all the wonderful thtings it is used for. I even used it to condition water in my fish tanks when I had them.searchingsam
