Gastroparesis Causes Monthly Hospital Visits! Am I the only one??

I was diagnosed with gastoparesis over 15 years ago and until about 18 months ago there were no problems. August of 2008 I had the first hospital trip for nausea and non stop vomiting. Now I am going every 4 weeks almost to the day. I have had a couple of stops within 2 weeks and managed to get 5 and 6 weeks between trips to the ER/hospital but eventually I end up back in the hospital.

Does anybody else have this happening to them? One of the most recent trips to ER, a doctor there said she has seen a few people come back again and again. I don't know why I can only go so long before I end up back in ER. I am now taking domperidone and reglan but so far that doesn't keep me from going back.

I am just interested in talking to someone who might be having the same experiences. What meds do you take? Do YOUR doctors know why you keep going back? I am about at the end of my rope. I am unemployed now and I know I can't look for and keep a job with this kind of problem. I got laid off in August because of the economy.
