I went to the emergency room for gastritis because I was having sharp chest and stomach pains and it was hard for me to breath. I was wondering if this could be bacteria or infection related? I drank a two liter which had a rat in it and got sick from and have been sick for about six weeks. What kind of tests can determine what would be the cause of gastritis and if it is related to a bacterial infection? Any help would be great, thanks.
