Has anyone had gallbladder issues but had all tests come back negative? I have been having sharp right upper side pain for over two months now. The pain is pretty much constant but after I eat it is the worst, with pain in my side and upper back. The first time it happened it was so painful I went to the ER. They did an ultrasound and showed that my gallbladder walls were thickened. After that I had a HIDA scan, a CAT scan with dye, and another ultrasound, all were normal, then an upper endoscopy that just showed some stomach irritation, but no ulcers or bacteria. Ive also had bloodwork done for hepatitis and liver and it was also all normal. I have been on multiple antacids with no relief and now they are trying a med for colon spasms?? with no relief either. Has anyone else had these issues and had all normal tests?

  • I had a similar problem, after a HIDA-SCAN w/CCK that is when my problem started, and like you after eating it hurt a lot. I had my GB removed 2 years later after having several GB tests, GB was inflamed, removed ~80% of my RUQ pain. You should investigate thoroughly before making any decision. One thing that helped me was powdered tumeric (spice you can buy in store) with food, I think it tastes gross but it helped reduce my RUQ pain when I had my GB. I would be curious if it offers you any relief?
