This is my first post so hello to everyone and thanks in advance for any advice you can give me :)
About 13 years ago my doctor diagnosed me with IBS so I've kind of blamed that, rightly or wrongly, for most digestion problems since.
Anyway - for about a week I've been feeling sick in the later evenings, from around 9pm onwards. I'm never actually sick and to be honest it doesn't ever really feel like would actually vomit, just a sicky feeling I guess. I put I down to eating to much bad food over Christmas, which I usually moderate, so sice Wednesday night I've been eating beans on toast every night and rice for lunch, with Bran Flakes for breakfast. Thinking the beans may not have been a good idea I had noodles tonight. I've felt quite 'clogged up' at most of these times of sickness and have been passing stools a few times a day, though that's been a long process and often I've left the bathroom feeling as I've not emtpied myself! - sorry for the strange explanation! Having said that last but I've not actually passed any stools today. I've been drinking just water and quite a bit of it too. The sick feeling usually lasts for a good few hours and sometimes I still feel it the next morning though I have een waking up very hungry, maybe due to a greatly reduced intake of food over the last 3 days. I have also had increased flatulance during this time.
I usually take Oil of Peppermint capsules after every meal as they help with digestion though I haven't taken any today thinking I may have been over-doing the 'digestion helpers', what with Bran, Peppermint Capsules, Beans etc..
As I type this I feel fine, but I'm anticipating the sicky feeling to hit me in a couple of hours if the last few days are anything to go by!
I think I've covered everything and just wondered if what I have described sounds like IBS or not, and if there is anything I'm not doing that I should be. I'll be happy to provide any more info if that' needed.
