I'm struggling with these symptoms: Facial redness and severe bloating and pain that lasts for a long time. Then my stomach feels just hard and distended. I'm in my 20's. Anyone have any clues to help me understand what's going on?

  • I keep telling myself that I'm too young to be in pain all the time and to struggle with this. And I'm going back to my doctor next week about this yet again. Last time she gave me Nexium. Hasn't helped. The only thing I can say about this mysterious bloating and pain is that as I get older it's getting slowly worse and one day it will be so bad that they will figure it out... hopefully before whatever's going on causes terminal damage to my system. If anyone has any idea what could cause chronic and severe bloating... let me know. It used to be frequent and now it seems almost constant. The later in the day, the worse it gets. When I wake up there is usually no bloating and pain... after breakfast it gets worse through the day. My stomach feels hard and distended and very bloated. Eating involves a lot of pain. It's hard for people to understand that it hurts to eat and I try not to eat whenver possible.

  • It obviously something that you're eating... The redness in your face is inflammation of course. And the foods putting through you could be having an IgG response in your bowel. I had to come off of gluten, soy, milk, eggs, nuts, and alot of other foods and when I did my face cleared up substancaly and less gas... I also found the digestive enzymes helped like magic too so now I barley get any gas. Eggs almost killed me btw.. I was super highly sensitive to em and I was so weak and frail and soo much blood loss in my bowel movements. Lucky I got the IgG test done before they were gonna put me in hospital to remove my colon. So I stopped eating 4 eggs a day and I was practiclly cured :o

Those are like the symptoms I get with hayfever, only gastric, so it sounds like histamines are invovled. You want to get it checked soon as some food allergies can be really serious.
