Extreme PAIN while defecating

This started about 3 days ago. I had to hold it in while I was on the subway, and when I got home it felt like my anus was being ripped apart by glass.
I haven't been able to bear the pain to actually go. I'll just sit on the toilet, absolutely in pain to the point where there's tears in my eyes.
I know what to do for long term measures, but how do I get what's in there right now OUT?
It's causing me so much discomfort. I bought some benefibre and took some last night, I'm also drinking tons of water. I'm considering forcing my body to have diarrhea just so that I can get whatever is in there out!

  • Hello, it sounds to me like you have piles/hemeroids. Ive had these & they can be excruciatingly painful. They are usually accompanied by blood on the tissue after you wipe.I would recommend a fiber cereal for breakfast & 30 minutes of walking or exercise every day for a week or 2. If the symptoms havent cleared up after then I would go to the doctor as they have creams & such for it.I would go for the healthier lifestyle remedy first though as piles is mostly your bodies way of telling you you need fiber & exercise :)

  • Ignoring natures call does create side effects. If you hold it when you need to go then your body reabsorbs the liquid in your stools creating constipation and hard, dry stools making it difficult when you do go. You might have created a fissure (a small tear) when you went. Fissure's can cause extreme pain in the anus and fever. Warm baths can help but lots of fiber and water work the best. I know it's not always convinent to go when needed but if you get constipated again try to keep some small glycerin inserts around which will help tremendously. You can buy them at the drugstore, they are small, cone shaped and you insert one into your rectum. The warmth from your body melts them and adds moisture back into your stools. You'll then go with ease. This started about 3 days ago. I had to hold it in while I was on the subway, and when I got home it felt like my anus was being ripped apart by glass.
