Hi everyone. I've briefly looked over the forums and have done many Google searches on symptoms I'm having. The results seem too broad and thought it may be good to describe everything that has happened in hopes of getting a more straight forward answer. I'm sick of hearing stress. I've been in a treatment center for drugs/alcohol/behavioral help for the past four months, but the symptoms started about a month into my stay. So there certainly is stress going around, but I feel like it has to be something more than that. It's getting really irritating and doing normal tasks like even sitting still are becoming a hassle. I'm getting extremely frustrated.
So it started about two-three months ago (to my knowledge.) It started out as a discomfort in my left abdomen. Sometimes closer to my pelvis but usually right under my ribcage. It feels as if something is pressing up against my rib cage. There is no "pain." It's just discomfort. Like can't sit still discomfort. When I stand up straight and look down at the area it almost looks like my top left ab muscle is sticking out more than my right. The discomfort started to spread up my left side to my shoulder. I started finding it difficult to take deep breaths and started to get a pressure and sometimes a pain in my shoulder blade area on my left side. At times it would feel like there was a knot being undone in my upper left chest. Like my lung or something was spazzing out. When I cough there is a slight pain in my lower back muscle to the left of my spine. It started feeling like it was moving over to my right side also and I ended up taking a trip to the ER because the breathing became so "difficult." They took X-rays of my chest and abdomen and came out with nothing. Blood tests and everything was normal. They said it was a viral inflammation and that prilosec and iburofen will do the trick. It seemed to work for a little. Seemed to subside for a little while, and now 3 or so weeks later it's coming on just as it did before I went to the ER. Working its way up my left side to what feels like weight on my left pectoral and shoulder blade. There is also a slight pain that goes down my left arm at times as well as in my neck.
Thank you in advance for your insight. If you would like more information don't hesitate to ask and I'll try to get back as soon as possible.
