I can't figure out the source of my recent problems.. First of all about a week and a half ago I got a craving for chocolate milk... I normally drink soy milk, but we had regular milk in the house... so I used that. Then I went to bed.. the next day I had severe abdominal pain. I attributed it to the milk. Avoided milk and have avoided it ever since.. ok. now. That abominal pain lasted for about a week, really. At first I was sort of constipated then I had the reverse problem but had the bad stomach ache. It was so bad that I don't think I've ever had a stomach ache that bad. Then it went away. And I had eaten pretty normally all week and then the day it went away I had bought some nutritional yeast and I sprinkled that on my dinner which was tofu, mushrooms, onions, nutritional yeast and some spices.. exactly 2 hours later that severe pain came back. ok.. well its been a few days and I've felt normal. Tonight for dinner I made a vegan green bean casserole.. the only new ingredient is cornstarch.. about an hour after dinner and I have the severe pain again. It sees to be following the pattern of constipation and I'm sure tomorrow morning it will be totally loose stool. So, I don't know. I can't imagine what the connection between milk, nutritional yeast and corn starch is. But it really seems to be those 3 things that triggered it each time. Any ideas? Thanks! by the way, my stomach is always sort of never normal.. I always have sort of loose stools but much worse this week and never before accompanied by pain at all.
