I have had some odd symptoms-pain in my abdomen that eases overnight, but as soon as I get up and even drink some water, it kicks in. The sensation is one of discomfort, low grade nausea, bloating. The oddest pain is how prickly the area in the middle of my abdomen between my navel and rib cage feels. It's been like this for a month now and not subsiding-any thoughts? Anyone have any similar symptoms?

  • My husband has had similar symptoms for 7 months. He has had every test and MRI that exists. He has seen a digestive disorder specialist, neurologist, back pain specialist and endocronogist (he is also a type 2 diabetic). You would think that one of these experts would come up with an answer. He describes his abdomen pain as feeling like a brush burn or sunburn. Just dragging his shirt across his abdomen makes it hurt. This pain is generally there all of the time --- it only seems to lessen while he is actually eating. But within a few hours of eating (it doesn't seem to matter what he eats), the pain in the abdomen becomes more intense and seems to extend to his back and even groin. He is really miserable --- anyone with similar symptoms who found relief?
