Constant stomach problems

Hello. I am 17 years old, male, 5'11", 190 pounds. On May 12 my symptoms started. I had constant gurgling and movements of my stomach. It helped to relieve it if I ate every 3-4 hours, but I had no appetite, and it helped if I sat up. I was bed-ridden for a week. At first I thought it was a stomach bug of some sort because it went away by the 21st. But two days ago the symptoms came back and I can feel the gurgling/movement under my left rib cage and a pain sometimes. Again, it helps a little bit when I eat every 3 hours and sit up. What could this be? I have looked all over the internet and found nothing!

  • Hi, this is the original poster. I have gone to the doctor a couple of times in the last two months and all he does is give me PPIs that I have to take 2 times a day to relieve the feelings in my stomach. I don't know what this stuff could be and my doctor won't give me an endoscopy or an upper gi. What could possibly cause this much misery?

  • You should ask your doctor to reccomend you to a specialist or to another doctor for a second opinion - your main problem: a doc who won't take you seriously.

  • This is the OP again. Why do people post their problems and then when they get a diagnosis they don't post an update? I got an answer back from the doctor a little while back - well, a half answer. I had an upper GI done and it showed nothing wrong so the doctor said I had non-ulcer dyspepsia. My theory is it was a stomach virus, but it messed up my stomach real bad. So if anyone is having the same symptoms this might be what you're having. Just take some prilosec everyday.
