I recently decided I wanted to start living a healthier lifestyle. Drink more water, exercise, eat better, that kind of stuff. I never exercise except I ride a bike as my only transportation but not athletically. This morning a friend and I went on a jog/ walk around Lake Merritt. Its about 3+ miles. Near the end of the walk be got smoothies. When we got back to her place I sat on the couch and as I sat down I got an aweful stabbing pain in my belly button. It felt like someone had taken a chop stick and jabbed it into my belly button. I sat and rested for a few minutes and then I road my bike about 3 miles home. It didn't seam to bother me while riding my bike but when I got home I noticed the pain was still there.
It's been 2 hours. It hurts most when I put pressure in my belly button. It also hurts when I stand up, sit down, or walk around. I thought I had pulled something but I've been doing research and I know the options of hernia or appendicitis as well.
The other part of the story that may have something to do with it is about 8 Months ago I was put on Prozac for my depression. It worked great but lowered my libido so my doctor added Wellbutrin to balance it out. at some point shortly after that (I don't remember if it was before the Wellbutrin) I started gagging and dry heaving every morning. My regular doctor said it was Acid Reflux and gave me Prilosec for that. The Prilosec did nothing at all so I began to suspect it was the Prozac. I had taken Wellbutrin a lot as a teen and never had any problems. My psychiatrist said he thought it was acid reflux. I got frustrated and stopped all my meds. within a couple days the gagging stopped but within a month I was depressed again so I started the antidepressants again. Immediately the gagging began so I stopped taking them again. I lost my job and insurance so I can't go back to the doctor. I got depressed again and decided I would put up with the gagging. I just started the antidepressants again a few days ago and have started gagging again so I wonder if that could be linked to my belly button pain.
Please give me suggestions. I am broke without insurance and can't afford the doctor unless it is for a good reason.
