bad reactions to every food I eat!

First of all, I am a 45 year old woman, in very good physical shape, have a low blood pressure, tho.
I don't know what to do, this has been going on for years but lately, it's been at its worst. Here's what happens-
My stomach gets all bloated and starts jumping about 10 minutes after I eat anything, I start hyperventilating, and then I get really fatigued and fall asleep. I might sleep for 3 hours, or for only 15 minutes, but it is a deep sleep. Then I am in a fog all day, like I cannot focus at all, and I get really achy all over.
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 1995, but the bloating and stomach problems are much worse and the people in the fibromyalgia support group don't have that.
I have reactions to everything-eggs, meat, fresh fruit, breads and pasta, cereals, etc. I drink a lot of water tho which is always good.
BTW, I have a doctor appointment in February to find out-the other doctors just told me it was fibromyalgia and to get more sleep. Well, I sleep 8 hours a night and am tired all day!
Does anybody have any guesses, do any of you feel this way too?

  • I forgot to mention, I have a horrible rash all over my chest that no cortizone creams will work on. It's been there for a year.

  • Thanks! I enjoyed reading that. Yesterday was a really bad day for me. I ate a banana for breakfast and went out to return a couple Christmas presents to Kohl's, which is 8 to 10 minutes from my home. On the way back, I got so exhausted I almost crashed my car. I pulled into Stop and Shop and parked my car, and just went to sleep for a while. It felt like I was drunk but I don't drink. My face was prickly and numb, my lips and tongue were too, and I was dizzy. Why does this happen to me? I mean, I got 8 hours of sleep the night before, I don't drink, don't smoke, weigh a good weight, etc.

  • well, it seems like a lot of people posting on here have gas, bloating, distension, stomach cramps and similar symptoms to mine. It is a bit relieving in a way, even though its ux when you're sick and don't know what you have. Today, I ate a banana for breakfast (I am sure bananas aren't the problem) then for lunch I had some Lipton cream of chicken soup, and about 20 minutes later, BAM, I got hit with the most wicked stomach cramps ever and my stomach ballooned up where I looked like I was 5 months pregnant! I took my usual, 2 gas pills and 2 Tums, but now, it's been over 12 hours and I can barely stand the pain. I get constipated for about 4 days and then I will get wicked diarreah for 2 days. I do keep a food diary, so when I go to the doctor in February she'll know. My mom thinks I should try to eliminate gluten, my friend says eliminate sugar. I can barely eat anything these days and I still have not been able to lose weight, I still weigh 135 lbs! I am assuming this is some sort of candidia overgrowth, which isn't too bad, but very frustrating to figure out how to take care of it.

  • Sounds like you have too much histamine or copper. Do a good colon cleanse and start taking a decent H-2 blocker. Also eliminate the gluten. Tons of decent gluten free food out there. glutenfreeinfo.com can help you immensely.Start simple. Get some good digestive enzymes for pancreas and liver function, flush your colon, and eliminate gluten.I just did all this 3 days ago and I can finally sleep at night and I'm night going #2 with bright red stuff in it.
