I posted a few months ago on the undiagnosed forum on this board and have since had some developements that have pointed me towards some kind of liver disorder. I was wondering if anyone had heard of anything similar.
The symptoms -
35 year old male.
Generally nausea and fatigue. Occasionally I am actually sick but normally just nausea.
Regular outbreaks of urticaria.
More worryingly is the attacks of abdominal pain I have had that have required two admissions to hospital in the past three weeks (one for 5 days). These normally occur in the middle of the night and wake me. The pain starts as a dull trapped wind like pain which quickly increases to an unbareable pulsing pain which literally has me screaming out in agony. I normally have a high pain threshhold so this is unusual.
On getting to the hospital the only way to relive the pain is by morphine. On my first admission my liver function tests were dramatically abnormal and they suspected gallstones. However an CT and MRI scan showed no evidence of stones. After a few days my lfts were slightly better so I was discharged.
The same thing happened again this week - pain in the night, trip to the hospital, abnormal LFT tests - same as before.
I am on the list to see a liver specialist as on OP but am worried as I know this will occur again. My liver screen has not come back with anything either ( no hepatitis etc).
