I had abdominal pain that was severe enough to wake me up this morning. At about 5:15 am I woke up do to an intense pain in the right hand side of my abdomen. It sometimes felt almost as if the pain was coming directly from my bone. It wasn't bad enough that I needed to call out or cry, but it was a very consistant pain that lasted for a period of about fifteen minutes. It still hurts sometimes when I move and on occasion I can feel pain in my left hand side too. I thought perhaps going to the bathroom would help, but it didn't, and I have let gas out of my system a couple of times. The pain is not completely constant afater that first initial fifteen minute span. there is always a sense of discomfort there but just as I was writing this I got more pain in my side. Also within the past couple of weeks I have experienced periods of time when I have feel like I have to pee every ten minutes or so but don't actually have to. This has occured for a couple hours a day for about 4 or 5 days during the span of 3 and a half weeks.
I'm assuming it's probably just gas because I have had issues with gas over the past couple of weeks. (I'm assuming it's most likly to do with the fact that I have been eating out a lot because I have been travelling for work... not always at fast food places, but still out a lot.) Or could it be a sign of something more serious? I have had a bladder infection before, but that was nearly twelve years ago now and so now I don't remember what the symptoms for that were. Any advice? Thanks in advance.
