hey-low

i was wondering if someone could tell me if i am having symptoms of a gallbladder condition or if i just hurt my back...????
i first went to my doctor with a fullness of my stomach and some ache in my stomach. i had some nausea off and on and the same with the pain off and on. i had a slight stabbing pain in the upper right quadrant of my abdomin, just under the rib. not excriciating but there. then the upper part of my back started to ache on the right side. it hurts to move my arm some times (just soar feeling) and sit up but feels better when i lay down. but the fullnes or gassiness is so bad that, if i eat, i bloat up so bad that i look about 6 months pregnant. i cannot wear my normal clothes b/c they will fit in the morning but not by the end of the day. no fever that i am aware of just some night sweats recently.
blood work normal, ultra sound reported no abnormalities with kidneys, liver or gallbladder. did find out that i have cysts on both of my ovaries and one ovary has a complex septated cyst the size of my ovaray, something like 2cm X 1cm. ct found no blood clots in the chest and no kidney stones.
the odd thing is the bloating increases with fruits or salad... i do have ibs with constipation, however this is different and i actually am not having a problem with bm.... no diarrhea. so when i wake in the morning no pain in the shoulder and upper back area but then it gets worse when i get to work about 2 hours later. then mysteriously my back pain went away for about a week then out of no where, just sitting at my desk, it came back. I did just finish drinking water with fresh squeezed lemon juice and pulp with some maple syrup. breakfast was a high protein granola bar, south beach diet : ) ... and my new regular decaf coffee with creamer & redi whip... used to have caffeinated coffee....
so can someone figure out what is going on with me ... is this just a back thing or is there something else going on... gallbladder or digestive???
thanks :o

  • I could only guess that it's your gallbladder but normally the problem is aggravated by fatty foods and sugary foods. The only way to know for sure is to go to your doctor.:p

  • Hi, you sound just like me I had the same trouble for years, Mine turned out to be my gallblader had a small tumor in it so it wasnt working correctly. They didnt find it until I went into the ER. I had so many test done b4 that. They finnally did a CT scan with the dye which shows how well the gallbadder works thats when they found it I had it removed the next day. that was three years ago. However since that time now l have issues and pain in my right upper area and now the CT scan shows Cronic Pacreatic disease.

  • I have been having the same symtoms plus more ever since Thanksgiving day, I have researched online and talked with a friend of mine who's a nurse and I'm almost positive i'm haviv=ng gallbladder problems. On all the websites they name all the same symptoms and I am and have been having them on a daily basis. It's getting more frequent lately, about 9-10 times a day. The pain and other symptoms tend to last anywhere from 5 minutes to the longest has been 4 hours, that was tonight at work. It's getting worse everyday. Everyone is telling me to take my butt to the doctor but my thing is, if I goto the emergency room all they can do is send me to a doctor at the hospital for tests, or if they do tests at the ER it will cost alot more. Right now i do not have medical insurance, I am in the process of getting it and I have to wait 30 days before it will take affect. So if i go ahead and go to a doctor and get diaganosed with what I know is gallbladder problems and will most likely need to have surgery then my insurance will not cover it. They told me that when i called them to add medical coverage on my plan. It would be considered a pre-existing condition and insurance will not help pay any on it. I'm sorry but i just cannot afford it without insurance, I keep telling myself that I just have to make it til then. I've gone already 2 weeks almost 3 like this. I just figured out what it was. At first the symptoms came at differnet times, it started out like a vomiting/upset stomach virus but it never went away, then each day 1 or 2 more symptoms showed up but none of them have gone away yet. the only thing that has slacked off is the upset stomach. My main concern is, is there anything i can do in the meantime until i get my insurance? Beacause honest to god, I'm not sure if i can take this much longer. It's affecting my life, it affects my job, everything, I know my body and I know it's not right. I need some help please.

  • it could be ulcerative colitis - or just ibs...it seems strainge to swell up with gallbladder. however if it is your gallbladder have it out - best thing i ever did - oh and i suffer with UC so I know it could be that.
