Last year my left foot and ankle became swollen and tender. I couldn't remember injuring it. I thought maybe I was bitten by something but there was nothing to indicate it was an insect or spider bite. The tenderness finally went away, but the swelling lingered. It even effected my lower leg. It finally went away. Every once in a while that same foot, ankle and lower leg will swell. It isn't huge but it is noticeable when you compare it to my other foot and leg. I am 50 - 60 lbs overweight, so i am thinking that is what is causing it. But I don't know why it is only happening on one side and not the other. I also had a very scary thing happen with my eyes today. I was trying to read something and i could hardly see anything. I had spots and could only read a few words at a time. It was like I could only see a block of words and couldn't see anything else on the page. My peripheral vision faded also. It finally came back, but it really scared me. I don't know if all of this is connected. But it has really made me think long and hard about my weight and to finally accomplish getting back down to a healthy weight. I am worried about diabetes and heart problems and wondering if these symptoms I am having are related to either one of them. If anybody has any thoughts let me know. Thanks.
