I would like to know what may be wrong with my big toe. About a week ago I noticed that it was hot to touch, it went from there to seeing a red line that moved up to the top of the toe nail. Over this past week the nail color of the toe has turned black and blue. It is very painful to touch, but Not painful to walk. I did NOT do anything to the toe such as a tramua, it just started on its own. Is this something I need to have checked out or can I soak it in epson salt? is it an infection UNDER the nail?
I would appreciate any assistance on this. I am scheduled to be out of town this Thursday and cannot afford to have any type of treatment because I will be walking alot. BUT do I need to be concerned?
