Hi, I have had a random sharp pain in either ring finger on and off sporadically
for most of my life. I'm 23 now, so it's probably been going on for about 17/18 years.
It only happens in my ring finger, I've never had a similar pain in any of my other fingers.
Every once in a while, every couple months or so maybe, the pain will show up in one of my ring fingers from my knuckle to my nail and will last anywhere from 1 to 10 minutes.
It's not really a bashed-with-a-hammer type of pain, just a deep annoying throbbing pain.
I can't get it to go away, it just does on its own, but it will always come back.
I've never been to a doctor about it because I didn't think it was important,
but I was wondering if it is trivial or a sign of anything more serious.
Thanks for any and all help in identifying/treating this terrible pain in my fingers.
