I had a compound fracture in my finger at the age of 17. Now I am 28 and have constant pain in the first knuckle. They put two screws into my finger and it is and the knuckle is bigger than before the injury i can move the finger put it does straighten all the way. It is my ring finger. The pain gets worse every year and I don't think they did a bad job. My question is I am considering having it looked at to have it fixed again or have it amputated. My mom thinks it is crazy to have it amputated because she said the phantom pains would be just as bad. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. The pain is probably comparable to bad arthritic pain.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
