Pain after injury

Hi all,

Three months ago I fractured my 5th metacarpal at the base and shifted a carpel bone 2mm in my left hand. I was in a cast for four weeks. I'm still having issues with my wrist and fingers.

The joints on my 4th and 5th fingers are still swollen on the tops of the knuckles, as well as the fleshy part between the two knuckles. I have pain just below the 3rd knuckle of the 5th finger(top of metacarpal). My 5th finger still points off to the side a bit instead of forward. The wrist just above the ulnar is painful. I can't open jars, turn doorknobs, or pick up a gallon of milk.

Does anyone know how long it takes to recover from this kind of injury? I'm anxious to get back to normal pain free activities.
