I have the following symptoms & can't get my doctors to agree. At the 6 month mark I am FRUSTRATED. Does this sound like FMS?

SYMPTOMS: Fatigue (severe last 6 weeks & moderate 5 months before); Muscle weakness; Pain/Soreness-like having flu w/o other parts; tender & sore to touch; slight headaches with some frequency; Sleep Disturbance (sleep about 1-2 hours at a time, wake up not feeling refreshed); Difficulty thinking/focusing (and I am a PhD student); Joints stiff/sore--changes depending; dizziness/vertigo; IBS (combo, abdominal pain); Night sweats; TMJ; Depression (treated with antidepressants and talk therapy with psychiatrist--he does not think this is the cause of all of this); anxiety; recurrent yeast infections (more in last 6 months than I have had in my whole life of 42 years); sensitive to sound.
The other part to know is that I have visited 1-4 doctors weekly since this started in January and they have run numerous tests and given me numerous meds. Every (and I mean every) test has come back that I am as healthy as healthy can be. Additionally, most of the meds. have not helped very much...Any suggestions?

  • I would really like to help you, but I'm afraid I need more information if you don't mind. How old are you? What is your weight? What meds have you been on/are you on?What blood work was administered? (if you could post these, that would help, but know that you are relinquishing some privacy as this is the internet)Anything odd happen in December? Anything??I'm thinking you sound like you might have FMS, but more testing needs to be done. I also think there is a possibility you may have an auto-immune issue (not always caught in blood work, and the necessary blood panels to test for this are not routinely run at a GP's office. you would need a Rheumatologist to rule in or out auto-immune. It's also possible to have both an autoimmune and FMS. I do-- I have SLE and FMS. Would you mind please answering those questions above, it might just help.
