I'm 18, almost 19, and I've been sick on and off for months.
When I was 8, I was diagnosed with Arnold-Chiari Malformation, after a severe episode of dizziness and double vision sent me to the hospital. I got better and went home and was mostly had no symptoms until I was 14. I had a growth spurt that caused me to have scoliosis and I was having severe neck pain, headaches, and my fingers were numb. I had a decompression done that same year. After a long recovery process, I was doing well for about 6 months. When I was 15, I came down with walking pnuemonia and then a number of sinus infections. I had pnuemonia again at 16, and was put on predisone. That helped a lot and I wasn't sick again for a 1 1/2 years.
I became sick again back in January. I thought I had the flu, but it never really went away. I have nausea, headaches, and all my muscles are really achey and stiff. It will go away sometimes but it always comes back. It's worse when I get up in the morning. I can barely get out of bed. I've missed a lot of school, but I can barely concentrate when I go, or do homework. I also have irritable bowel syndrome, and I don't sleep well at night.
I've had my blood test for anemia, thyroid, and CBC, but my results were normal.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks
