Has anyone taken L-Tryptophan (amino acid found in turkey meat) for their fibromyalgia syptoms? I have not been diagnosed with anything but I know I have fibromyalgia. No one can find anything else wrong with me.
I have heard that this L-Tryptophan does help a lot with sleep, pain and depression.

  • Actually some naturist doctors recommend people avoiding Tryptophan because it might trigger more episodes on people with Lupus.Since you don't know what's at the root of your condition, I would recommend you trying JMT and NAET.Jaffe Mellor Technique and Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique might help regardless of the fact that regular doctors have not given you a diagnosis.I have been working with NAET- I am a new person. I don't know all the factors that had brought me down and crippled me down back in November- I did not have a diagnosis- but boy, NAET works.Take Care.Eatafruit78.

  • Thank you for that information. I have thought maybe it is a nutritional issue with me. It is only getting worse. I can barely make it up and down the stairs now. I get so depressed now. I cannot work anymore. Cleaning my own home seems too overwhelming. You say Tryptophan is not good for Lupus? Is Lupus and Fibromyalgia the same thing?

Is Lupus and Fibromyalgia the same thing?Lupus is not Fibro- but it is also one of the modern conditions that doctors diagnose without knowing how diet, allergies, chemical exposure affect the patient.I read a testimonial of a person who was like you due to Exposure to toxic Mold. She went back to live a full life by using NAET.Check NAET out. It was invented by Dr. Nambudripad- but her website lists all the practitioners of NAET. You should find one near you. Also Beyondhealth.com and the Book "Never Be Sick Again" will be very helpful.Best.

  • I read more about L-Tryptophan. So I decided to try it myself. I am on the 5th day and I feel sooo much better. The black cloud above my head is gone. I used to feel like dieing all the time. I don't feel like that. I am not feeling perfact, but I feel better. 85% better. My muscles and bones still hurt but not nearly as bad. This is weird. It is not helping my sleep though. Maybe in time it will. I don't know. I only take 500mg 3 times a day. I tried to take three in a row before bedtime like the bottle said....but it did not help. Seemed to make me hyper. But I am not sure because it may just be my mid cycle PMS going on. But I am going to take this. NO anti-depressants ever helped me. And I am not having any weird side effects either.
