Hi there, 24F UK.
I was diagnosed by a urologist 4 weeks ago as having an ovarian cyst of size 6.5cm on the left side and I am awaiting referral to an ob/gyn. I also have a kidney stone in the left kidney of about 1cm in size. History of kidney stones, but no history of PCOS/ reproductive problems.
When I woke up this morning, I found that my left flank was visibly swollen and was accompanied by increased pain and tender to touch. The pain is dull and achy in the hip but occasionally sudden and severe in the left lower abdomen. I have shedded a few pounds this week without any effort and I'm menstruating.
I'm concerned about a possible rupture or torsion, but can't seem to find any evidence of swelling as a symptom. Should I go to the hospital, or is this nothing to worry about? Any and all comments are gratefully recieved.
