How long does it take for treatment to start working?

  • It depends on the treatment method. For example, the recommended dosage of fluconazole for vaginal yeast infections is 150 mg as a single oral dose. However, fluconazole has been associated with rare cases of serious hepatic toxicity.Treatment with vaginal creams or suppositories (for example clotrimazol) may take about 6 days or more to clear the infection.
