  • yes it is possible to pass a yeast infection back and forth. My brother in law used to get them alot from my sister. Any infection is passible. Treat the infection then have sex.

  • oh you said without having contact, then the answer is no. Having contact yes. Unless your immune system is shot. Just by being tired and run down you can get an infection or antibiotics can cause it. Good luck.

  • Yeast infections are definitely possible without contact with an infected partner. I think it's much more rare to get one from someone else. A yeast infection occurs when the yeast that is normally present in the vagina becomes overdeveloped, for example when antibiotics wipe out vaginal bacteria that normally keeps the yeast in check.

  • Anyone can get yeast infections...Thrush, Leaky gut, and other diseases are results of yeast infections. This is, as another poster mentioned, from a poor immune system in the the digestional tract (SP?) Best thing to do is forget the sugary and yeasty foods...fruits and bread, and processed foods, and eat lots of vegies and lean protein meats. Also add a probiotic to your daily intake. If you take prescriptions for yeast infection, they will probably kill the good bacteria along with the bad, and in the end make things worse. Another thing is to eat a lot of plain Natural yogurt, b/c this has the good bacteria in it.
