southern discomfort

Over the past 2-3 months I've experienced sharp vaginal pain. It lasts only a few seconds and comes intermediately. I also have had more frequent urination over the last few months since returning to college for the year. I had largely attributed this to a change in diet but I am now questioning this. Otherwise everything looks and feels normal. I'm absolutely terrified of gynocologists while I know the fear is completely irrational and unfounded. I have only been with one man in the last 18 months but I'm wondering if it could be something slow growing from a past experience. Since I obviously have to see a doctor I'm wondering what I should get tested for and if theres anything else I should be monitoring in myself.
