Has anyone ever had a rash on the breast? It has pus coming out of it and it hurts. It first started on one side and then a week later, it went to the other side. I have been to many doctors and no one can tell me what it is. It's very frustrating. It is located right out side the nipple, exactly the same place on both breasts. A dermatologist treated it with topical cream and antibiotics and this did not help. He basically has put me off because he isn't finding out what it is. Can anyone help? I know that this isn't much information but it's basically all I can describe.

  • You might want to get checked for Paget's disease which is a rare form of breat cancer that affects the nipple. It first starts out as a red bump or rash on the nipple or areola & it's itchy, crusty & sensitive & doesn't go away from using creams. I read about this from an article online & sounds kinda like what you're dealing with.

  • Also, I forgot to mention that it pusses also. So, if anyone has a red bump or rash on the nipple that's itchy, crusty, or pusses or all of the above then it'd probably be a good idea to get tested for Paget's disease. Hope this helps.
