I generally have heavy periods. My last period was pretty late, probably over a month. My grandmother passed away so I figured it was stress since the pregnany test was negative. When it came it was light for about five days with no cramps or any other menstrual nuances. It went away for about a week then came back.I have been going back and forth between spotting and heavy for about a month now. It is absolutely horrible and I absolutely hate going to doctors, my experiences with mistakes they have made have left me terrified of going and being misdiagnosed and making everything so much worse. I have no idea what could be wrong and would appreciate any insight you could give me because this is so horrible and I am started to get really scared. I am 32 years old, never been on birthcontrol and was only pregnant once, this pregnany was falsley diagnosed as ectopic and was treated with methetrexate. At the time noone ever mentioned me having a D&C but I have since been told by people that it is normally done in that type of situation. This happened 2 and a half years ago. :(

  • try a series of acupuncture treatments, like five...go to someone who specializes in women's problems. If that doesn't help, it could be more serious. It could be hormones, fibroids, or the worst case is cancer. Get a good checkup with a pap and std screening. They should do an ultrasound, too. Most likely, the first two and the only way to go is acupuncture for natural relief. You're also at risk of being anemic with the loss of blood, so with that comes complications, too.

  • Thanks for the reply. After about 6 weeks it went away. I took panax ginseng for about a week due to I read about it's benefits and after that it was gone. Either a coincidence or it really worked, either way I am happy :p
