I have always been able to orgasm easily with clitoral stimulation either by myself or with my boyfiend. 2 years ago (at 28) I had a major sudden loss of clitoral sensitivity. I can rarely get anything remotely like it used to be and sometimes not at all. I've had my hormones tested by my doctor and they all tested just fine. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.. this is really starting to frustrate me and affect my sex life. Thanks!

Thanks!Hi there,You might have a problem with sacral spinal nerves that control the clitoral sensitivity. Another reason could be a negative emotion that was stored in the clitoris and blocked its sensitivity. See a cranio sacral therapist or an osteopath.Do you remember any emotional trauma prior to losing the clitoral sensitivity?Dr B

  • Finally a response! I'd given up! No emotional trauma whatsoever, this is definately a physical issue. I suspected it might be due to a herniated L5 S1 disk but whay could I do about that?

Have a MRI scan to visualize the lumbar and sacral nerves.

While that is not well known it can cause all manner of problems. Usually a person will have additional symptoms that appear unrelated.

It's like I can't feel on the left side; like sexually there's no physiological response on the left. Will a cranio sacral therapist be able to help if it does involve the sacral spinal nerves? Thank you

  • Can a huge emotional trauma cause this? A couple months ago my father died by suicide and recently I have noticed this problem that I didn't have before he passed.
