Ok i have read that you may have a small vagina from birth because your hymen can cover the opening in your vagina, but I have used tampons before and am just noticing this extra skin covering the entrance to my vagina. So it can't be that right? I still seem normal and havent experienced pain or anything. I am not sexually active.

  • Everyone's vagina has different skin configurations. You may have a preconceived idea of how it is supposed to look. The hymen is there even after you are sexually active. The amount of hymen tissue you have is different for everyone, so the bit of skin may be the hymen or just how your labia are shaped. I don't think the hymen goes away completely until you have a vaginal birth (or become an experience ***n star). Some of the skin will remain just inside around the walls of your vagina until then.
