In August, 2004, my periods stopped suddenly. I don't exercise and I wasn't going through stress. (I don't think I am over weight. I actually weigh 11 stones and I am 5.8 inches tall.) After 4 months without a period, or pre-menstral pain, I explained to my uncle who believes in alternative therapy and he gave me a concotion which he assured will lead to my periods flowing again. One month after taking this medicine, my periods started but I ended up bleeding heavily (changing sanitary towels every hour) for 4 weeks. I had to go to my doctor in panic about the excess bleeding. I was treated and I had a normal period for 6 months. Thereafter, nothing again.
My doctor thinks there is nothing wrong, but I have only just turned 41, and I keep wondering whether I have already gone through menopause.
