Ok so my husband and I got a bit drunk and had a couple hours of sex, which included quite a bit of time of him using his fingers inside me. I was understandably sore the next day. It is now 5 days later and after day #2 I started having some pain around my vaginal opening. Day #3 the pain escalated and became pretty bad while sitting, walking, laying, wiping, if I even gently (and I mean gently) touch it, and I noticed there was a small amount of blood when I wiped. Day #4 (yesterday) was just awful. I did as much examining as I could stand, and noticed that my vaginal opening is basically swollen shut. When my husband got home from work, I told him he had to take a look cause I couldn't see enough detail with the little mirror I had. He said I had about an inch long scratch on my inner vagina and that the opening was a little swollen and looked irritated.
I had a little success with the pain when I applied some Neosporin with Pain Reliever. I could at least sleep better last night.
I am starting to get really concerned because this is lasting quite a while and causing me quite a bit of pain, plus I was alarmed when I couldn't even "find" my vaginal opening (like it was closed up, you could not get the tip of your pinky finger anywhere in there). I have been sore before, but never ANYTHING like this. Before I call my doctor, I wanted to check to see if anyone had any experience or advice. I really don't want to have to explain to my doctor that basically I had some drunken sex and may have suffered some vaginal trauma. I guess basically what I am looking for here is a sign that this will pass, it can be normal, some ways to relieve the pain, or something.

I know this may be too much information but I really want an answer and putting "Had sex, now painful and swollen" wouldn't have really been enough detail for my question. Thanks

  • when you get a scratch on your vagina it would prob normally swell quite a bit because the vagina is such a sensitive area. I think you should for sure go to see your dr. cause you could get an infection you should not be putting neosporn or pollysporne or anything like that in you vaginal area just cause your vagina is a very sensitve area i would recomend going out and buying some vagisil cream that will relive you from itching and burning but do make sure that you go and seek advice from you dr

  • I am not a doctor- but it sounds like you did hurt yourself and it probably got infected if it burns. Are your inflammatory responses always that elevated?Besides going to see the doctor- you could try some natural supplement antinflammatory such as Querecitin, which is simply extracted from yams. Or bromelain, the natural antinflamatory of the Pineapple. You can buy that at the health or organic store. It should help with the inflammation. If you think you are at rick of an infection, taking caplets of Oil of Oregano should help to prevent bacteria, virus, yeast, or fungi to infect it. It is also available at the organic store- it is a germicide of very broad spectrum, very, very safe.May you get well, BestFruity 4 You.

  • You need to break down and see your doctor. They have seen everything...the scratch has allowed bacteria to grow and now you need antibiotics...better go before you get a raging uterine infection and have to go to the hospital...
