I'll be starting the pill next month ( the kind where you have your period each month still) and i was curious about when it is safe to have sex? The pamplet says to use backup protection for the first week, but since i'll have a new pack every month, does that mean i shouldn't have sex for the first week of the pack each time? or just the first time? any help would be appreciated. i'm very concerned.

  • It's just the first week of the first pack as long as you take the pill at the same time every day and don't miss any. If you forget by more than a few hours or forget until the next day then you need to use backup again, read about for how long and what to do in the instructions that came with your pills.
