  • This is called bacterial vaginosis. It is not a sexually transmitted disease, but both partners must be treated to avoid passing back & forth. Because it is bacterial a nun could get this! When you go to the doctor with your list of symptoms they will automatically test for an STD. It is not! I dealt with this by going to the library, signing out 3 medical text books, marching into the doctors office, putting the information in the doctors face, stating what the treatment must be, & threatening to stage a sit in unless I was properly treated! Yes, that is what it took!! The treatment is Flagyl (for both you & your partner), also after a shower or bath - blow dry the vaginal area, and limit your intake of sugar. Sometimes a physician will look at you like you have lost your mind when you present w/ the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis, do NOT back down! It is a simple test. It's just is not one they normally do. In the mean time you are left feeling unclean! You are not!! I hope this helps. female aphrodasiac
