Hey everyone, I know my post is long..but PLEASE bear with me..thanks in advance.
I am a 22 year old male.
I am experiencing a variety of extremely weird symptoms and no one can figure out what is going on. I have seen an Internal Medicine doctor who referred me to see a neurologist a couple of weeks ago. We had a couple of CT Scans done of the brain area, and an MRI with contrast done last week of the brain/face area. All reports came back normal and the neurologist diagnosed me with atypical migraine issues..really?
All of the symptoms I am experiencing started three-four years ago. I remember all of these symptoms started to occur after my wisdom teeth extraction(all four at once). That may be entirely unrelated, but I thought I would include it anyways.
My face has COMPLETELY changed these past few years. The muscles in the right side of my face have a very low range of motion and are much weaker than the left side of my face.I can move my lips from the left side of my face to even further on the left side, but not the same for the right side(sorry this is very hard to explain). If I try to smile with one side of my face, I can do it perfectly for the left right, but can hardly move the the right side of my lips any further. I pretty much can't do anything on my face if it is isolated to the right side, only if I am doing it for both sides.
My skin has started to get increasingly thicker/harder as time has been going on, and it feels extremely inflamed. My eyelids have also been thickening and some sort of fluid or something has been coming out of my skin(noticable a lot when I wake up) that has a weird odor and is shiny. My lips and mouth feels extremely inflamed as well, like there is something growing in there. It is the most uncomfortable feeling ever, and I can't describe it :(.
I have been experiencing some blurry vision/vision loss in my right eye(I wear contacts). When I am experiencing this, it feels like my right contact is not on at all - even though it is. Today, my right eye was burning extremely badly, and if I pull my lower eyelid down the area was extremely red.The area directly under my eyes are extremely puffy and heavy - like I said I feel like something has grown below this area because of the extremely heavy and thick skin.
My entire face always feels extremely heavy and I have immense uncomfortable pressure around my lips, mouth, cheeks, and eyes.
I don't know who I should see anymore as I have already been to a neurologist and he didn't know what was going on. My life has not been the same since these symptoms have started and I really want to get to the bottom of things. For God's sake I have no been on a date in four years(something I would do multiple times a week a couple of years ago). I just want my life to go back to normal and want to get to the bottom of this. If anyone can give me any advice as to whom I need to speak with or see, I will never forget it. Thanks so much, and have a good day.
