Hi, I am 47 years old ,male in moderately good health...

I have been having temporary foggy vision incedents in both eyes where it looks like the room is filled with thick bluish cigarette smoke, but no smokers. This occured quite signifigantly last night when I came back into a room with low light levels after being outside in the bright sun breifly... The effect was quite dramatic and alarming ... losing about 40% of my vision for several minutes before returning to normal. (both eyes)

I have been noticing this more and more over the last several months...

Any ideas on the causes of such symptoms?

Cheers, Rick

  • Rick,Get to an ER immediately! This is serious! Or to your Ophthalmologist now and tell them your symptoms exactly as you described them on this site. These are serious symptoms. It is quite possible that you have Glaucoma.I know I had them myself and didn't think much of them. In my case, I had some bleeding around my pupil and that got me to the ER faster for a diagnosis which literally saved my eye sight! It is important that you tell them when your symptoms come on because that is the key to diagnosis as well.Good luck!
