I have been having strange eyes symtpoms for a couple months now. It started back in September of 07 when I started seeing my first flashes in my eyes. I've always had floaters and dont think much of them, but now they are accompanied by flashes and strange black spots in my vision. The black spots are weird because they are like a "blind spot", but not like what im used to with my migraines. I have been to a optometrist several times and I do not have retinal detachment, and I feel he checked me pretty well.
I am very worried about my vision though, recently my vision seems to have gotten worse, fuzzier kind of and I cant really focus on things like I used to. I am near sighted too, and I am wearing glasses that the prescription is too weak, but I have new glasses with an updated prescription coming soon.
The spots seems to come whenever they feel like and tend to be in my periphrials, but they only last a couple seconds before "wasting away". They are a daily thing now though and I am starting to get worried. Also there have been times when the spots seemed white, not just black.
Also just very recently I seem to have some "night blindness". I cant see in the dark like I used to, and am more sensitive to lights than I used to be. Stuff seems to get kind of "burned" in my vision for a couple seconds also if it is a bright color.
I am also relatively young.
I'm sorry if this is a lot to read and a lot of information, but I just want some answers and clarity. I've been debating if I should go see a normal doctor and maybe get tested for high blood pressure or diabetes. Thanks for any and all replies.
