I have had constant eye pain for years now that increases as day wears on. Activities such as reading, driving, watching t.v. and especially working on computer causes severe pain after as little as 15 minutes. Also, pain at back of head matches pain in eye (all of this is on the left side of head). Lots of times, there is pain in check, nose and temple area, and above the ear too. I have diminished hearing in left ear and virtigo (with ringing in ear and feeling & sound of heart beating in ear & dizziness) . I do have several bulging discs pressing on nerves in neck and lower back on same side. Deformity (lump) at base of neck & upper back probably due to osteoporosis and vit D deficiency. Oh yes, there is blurred vision and the feeling of like a veil or something over the eye itself. I do have dry eye syndrome as well. Pain relievers don't help and muscle relaxers cause entirely too much sleeping though it keeps pain at bay for a few hours after I'm awake. The trade off is not worth sleeping my life away. Occipital nerve block helped after two weeks but only lasted about 2-3 weeks and I can't have another.
Any ideas would be appreciated! I'm totally miserable after suffering with this for years and years with varying diagnosis from specialists but no real help (occipital neuralgia, iritis, trigeminal neuralgia, glaucoma ruled out, not certain about sjogren's, etc.).
