I was diagnosed a few months ago with retrobulbor neuritis. I took all the tests for possible causes all which were negative TG. My dr said that the best bet was to just wait it out. It was in my left eye and got worse under certain situations. Generally, I was able to see ok most of the time, albeit a bit blurry. In the past 2 weeks though it has worsened considerably. I now have extremely blurry vision in both eyes for most of the day. Occasionally at night it improves a bit but I have a really hard time reading or seeing details at all.
I called my dr who suggested taking tears eyesrops as the colder dry weather may be making my symptoms worse. They dont seem to be making much of a difference.
