I have a blind spot in the almost center of my left eye vision which occured 2 days ago.

I have an examination, and got no diagnosis except ;

I have some "defected" or "changed" spot on my retina, but I have not told what this situation is related to, will it get better or worse... Even I have not been given any medicines.

So I was wondering, if any of you have knowledge about this will tell me any information ?

I have checked on the net but got no information though.. :( :(

  • I should add that, I am a heterocromi which means I have 2 different colored eyes, and that blind vision spot is not black, more likely grey but it's not transparent..The spot is on my right eye, brown colored one... please help me with the diagnosis..

  • I have a large patch of medullated nerve fibers in right eye which has resulted in enlarged blind spot. My vision is perfectly fine.But i have been declared medically unfit for technical entry in air force. To best of my knowledge i know blind spot of one eye is covered by other eye's retina. so it does not affects the central vision. I have appealed against the decision. Please guide me.

  • To Halibut:I have the same condition with you . It's been 5 months since I got this condition . I also have a blind spot in my eyes (my left and right eyes). My right eye has a blind spot in center-right in visual field while my left has blind spot too in the center-left visual field . when i open both my eyes,my visual field is clear with no blind spot . I heard that this condition have ties with retinal detachment . I haven't go to an optalmologist yet but ...Can anyone tell the treatment for this condition ..
